The White Horse Social
The White Horse Social is an alcohol free, family oriented evening of pony painting, ice cream sundaes, silent auction, raffles, door prizes and music. It is held each July on the Tuesday night of Fair Week at the Teton County Fair. It is the annual fund raiser for the Horse Warriors programs, and is anticipated with great delight each summer. It's open to the public, but participants must wear closed-toed footwear. We use non-toxic finger paint to paint the horses. The following morning we have a staff and volunteers "Bathing Day" to wipe the 'equine canvases' clean again. Hundreds of local businesses and service providers donate items for the auction. It's always a great evening of good, old fashioned fun. Most of the horses are white, but by the end of the night it doesn't matter - they've all been turned into 4-legged murals!
